HUMBOLDT — One man’s legacy of raising money to fund cancer research in nationwide continued in Humboldt. Humboldt’s Terry Fox Run, held Sept. 15, saw between 25 and 30 people participate. The ran started at Midland Glass.

Handel’s graduating class of 1969 held their 50-year reunion Aug. 19 at the Perlinger farm at Handel. Their graduation was 50 years ago as of May 30.

EAST CENTRAL — The North East SPCA is opening their doors with a gala later this month, and then will begin operations in the area.

HUMBOLDT — One hundred kilometres is not a long way to go by car, but imagine running that on foot in one continuous race. For Andy McAnally, that what he did over a weekend for the Lost Soul Ultra Marathon in Lethbridge on Sept. 6 and 7.

HUMBOLDT — Parents wanting to ensure their children are safe in their vehicles will be able to get a free child restraint safety inspection. Safe Communities Humboldt and Area is hosting an inspection clinic on Friday, Sept. 13.
