More than 100 ladies wearing pink and teal attended the Wilkie CWL's annual Pink Night, which was held on Oct. 16 at St. James Parish. This year's event focused on both breast and ovarian cancer.

The senior girls' B volleyball team travelled to Unity recently for their final tournament of the season. According to Ms. Chammartin, they competed, performed and represented the school well in all of their matches.

This is a busy time of year for Battlefords Art Club members with all the various events. This past weekend we enjoyed a workshop and are working on pictures of angels for the coming gallery exhibition.

Nov. 3 - Our deepest sympathy to the Bater and Peters families of the local area and North Battleford, on the sudden recent passing of Arthur Bater. Arthur was born and raised on the Baljennie Penrose farm and attended Baljennie School.

Ken Arsenault has been re-elected by acclamation as chair of the Living Sky School Division board of education. At its organizational meeting Wednesday of last week, the board also re-elected vice-chair Ronna Pethick by acclamation.
