At the start of Grade 12 for our daughter, I said I would be panicking by the first day of summer. Here it is and yes, I am panicking. The to-do list for graduation still seems long but the days of having our girl at home seem to be getting shorter.

Tuesday was a beautiful day and it was great to see the sunshine after the lovely rain. A dozen Battlefords Art Club members gathered and more plans were made for our art show and sale to be held at the Meota sailing regatta building July 13 and 14.

Jane Francis Shury: A life lived in service to her community

Jane Shury (nee Miller) was born July 23, 1934 to Melcher Miller and Katherine Gaertner at Leipzig. Jane completed all of her elementary school education at the Leipzig Public School and Grades 9 through 12 at the Notre Dame Convent in Leipzig.
