Families of 脡cole P猫re Mercure school were treated to two special presentations by author and motivational speaker David Bouchard. Bouchard talked about the importance of reading, and shared personal experiences about himself and his children.

A local group is bringing the Vagina Monologues to the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts Saturday, with all proceeds going to support Battleford Interval House and the Battlefords and Area Sexual Assault Centre.

John Paul II Collegiate staff and students hosted a coffee house Jan. 25. The library hosted about 50 guests and 13 acts provided entertainment. The acts varied from vocal performances to instrumentals, improv and poetry readings.

The Neilburg United Church held their annual Poor Man's Supper Jan. 24 in the church lower hall. A large crowd attended, enjoying a fabulous supper of home made soups and breads, jams and jellies.
