Colour figures prominently
The current exhibition in the Window Salon of the Chapel Gallery is "Honouring Individual Creation" by local artist, Daphie Pooyak. Pooyak is a graduate of the Yvonne Yuen School of Design and has been involved in creative arts for most of her life.

Cribbage was played May 22. Jean Hartman supplied lunch and hosted, assisted by Dorothy Schwartz. High score went to Bev Stewart and low to Eva Inkster. Bingo was played May 25 with Joan Smith and Margaret MacEachern doing the calling.

Greening of the view enjoyed
A pleasant spring seems to be leading into a nice summer. The vivid green of the foliage in the west valley is very appealing to the eye. One enjoys walking there, noticing the young birds growing up.

As we near the foreboding final exams we are ever so busy at Maidstone High. June 1, the Grade 7 class left for their fieldtrip to Edmonton. Their itinerary included the science museum, IMAX and West Edmonton Mall.
