There were some close games in the New Horizon curling Feb. 14 with Wisner, Hagen and Gordey coming out on top in the final end.

The North Battleford Comprehensive High School wrestling team battled in the Western Canadian High School Wrestling Tournament Feb. 3 and 4 in Saskatoon. The tournament was held in the Hank Ruys Soccer Centre.

With the Tim Hortons Brier just two weeks away, many curling fans are on the hunt to find tickets to the event in Saskatoon.

"We wanted to try to go for double digit victories of course," said Battlefords Stars head coach Lorne Neilsen after a 7-2 loss to the Saskatoon Blazers Feb. 9. "So we need three.

A North Battleford Comprehensive High School curling team curled 56 endsbetween Feb. 9 and Feb. 14, and turned a few heads along the way.

It was a heavy weekend of archery just north of North Battleford for a large number of participants. The Battle River Archers held a 3D indoor shoot Feb. 4 and 5. There was a great turnout of 244 shooters for the event.

The Sherwood Conference playoff matches have been made while there is still one question mark in the Bauer Conference.

Kyle Pooyak stood 65?, 265 pounds on the North Battleford Comprehensive High School's offensive line last season and now the big lineman will look to do that for the University of Regina Rams.

The rivalry between the St. Walburg Eagles and Paradise Hill Hawks was renewed during three games in the first round of the North Saskatchewan River Hockey League playoffs.

Two North Battleford Comprehensive High School Vikings basketball teams gear up for the final portion of the season. The senior boys looked to continue their impressive winning streak, but ended up with a silver medal.
