Mega-Volley has come and gone for another year in Maidstone. The popular tournament is played on courts in the Maidstone arena, the high school and the elementary gyms. The first weekend is for senior play and the second is for junior.

On an extremely windy day, the Lanigan Lazers took their show on the road to battle Wynyard's Bears in a regular six-man league game of high school football on September 30.

To say the frustration is setting in for the Battlefords Midget Stars may be an understatement. The Stars lost their fifth straight Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League game Wednesday night as they hosted the Beardy's Blackhawks.

The North Battleford Comprehensive High School Vikings were in search of their second win after coming off a 17-2 victory over Bedford Road Sept. 22, as they played Marion Graham in Saskatoon Friday.
