A pair of Englefeld boys struck silver at badminton Provincials last weekend. Blair Miskolczi and Braeden Schwartz, a boys' doubles team from Englefeld School, won silver at the 2011 Provincial Badminton Playoffs in Biggar May 14-16.

Two more games were played in the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League Wednesday. Under the lights at Beaver Lions Stadium, the Meadow Lake White Sox beat the North Battleford Beavers 3-2.

Athletes from nine area schools were out on the track and fields in Muenster on May 17 to compete in the Horizon Central Athletic Association Pre-District track and field meet.

Last season, in the first round of the North Saskatchewan River Baseball League playoffs, the Meadow Lake White Sox beat out the North Battleford Beavers in three games.

It was a season to savour. A season to never forget.
