Happy New Year. This can be a good year for you, in spite of all that is going on in the world around us. The key lies in the choices we make.

Ed, my old neighbour in Saskatchewan, scoffed at my plans for improved health in this new year. I am planning to become 44 per cent improved in my memory, concentration and focus.

Now close to the middle of a new month and into a new decade, I鈥檝e begun seeking out, duplicating and sorting pictures I have collected over the years. Of particular interest was an aged (almost as aged as I am) picture of me and my oldest brother.

Dear Editor I am not much of a big box store shopper, but six days after Remembrance Day 2020 I went into one to look for a certain item. Well, well. 鈥淛oy to the World鈥� was blasting over the sound system. The Lord is come? I couldn鈥檛 find the item.

The beginning of a new year should be a time of reflection.

I told Ed, my old neighbour in Saskatchewan, that I did not want to hear any of his predictions for 2021. I will need quite awhile in the new year to get over the last year. Especially since I gained weight in 2020, which will not go away quickly.
