Most, if not all world religions have among their basic principles what we sometimes refer to as The Golden Rule; 鈥淒o unto others as you would have them do unto you鈥�.

It is September and back to school. Well, you know the rest of the story. Sunday morning Aug. 30 we were happy to have a Bible college student, Matthew Cunningham, share in the morning service.

Yesterday, Ed asked me, 鈥淲hy do nice people die early and scumbags last way too long?鈥� I could not give him an answer. It does seem the death of the nice folks we know seems way too soon for our liking. Answers to why questions may never satisfy.

鈥溾�楩or a while鈥� is a phrase whose length can鈥檛 be measured. At least by the person who鈥檚 waiting.

The other night I spent several hours deliberating and discussing with my church board concerning what re-opening the doors of our institution was going to look like.

This has been a very interesting summer from the garden perspective. We had every type of weather 鈥戔�� cool periods, a bit of hot weather, drought and now we are getting rain.

Ed, my old neighbour in Saskatchewan, said yesterday that continuing to be a farmer shows he is not too smart. I asked him if the pressure of his harvest was getting to him.
