It is a historic symbol of the community and one of the most important buildings in town. Sadly, though, the CN rail station here in Humboldt has become an eyesore.

Dear Editor, This is a reply to the "Performance drought drain on resources" (News-Optimist, June 25). I am appalled that Battlefords Publishing would publish this letter, again. Its the same verbatim just in different context.

I think the monsoons are over at the moment. This year we can never be sure. We have had close to 10 inches of rain here in the last two weeks. There is not a dry slough or water run on the place.

It's essential for life and a valuable commodity across the planet, but it isn't its life sustaining properties that have had water in the news recently. I was in Calgary last week when the horrific events unfolded there.

Dear Editor Regarding, "Tax notice an unwelcome surprise" (Regional Optimist, June 13), North Battleford residents who have questions about any City-related issues should be able to get clear answers.
