In British Columbia, the Canadian province where I reside, politics can most gently be described as polarized. Last week's provincial elections added yet another dimension to that picture.

Dear Editor Recently our government made the difficult and much-discussed decision to discontinue three financially unjustifiable STC routes: Blaine Lake to North Battleford, Regina to Lanigan and Eastend to Swift Current/Mossbank.

Aboriginal populations are growing, with 4.3 per cent of Canadians reporting to be of Aboriginal identity compared to only 3.8 per cent in 2006. The Stats Canada survey showed the Aboriginal population accounted for 11.3 per cent of Saskatchewan.
