ESTEVAN — A scheduling change made a big difference for this year's John Dyck Classic Show and Shine at the Estevan Comprehensive School.

For the first time, the event was held in the evening instead of the early afternoon. Teacher Devyn Burant said they counted 53 vehicles that were displayed at the school's parking lot on June 6.

Burant believes they had more vehicles and greater community engagement with the show being in the evening. Additional people were able to come down after they were finished work.

The event had a mixture of vehicles that belong to students and people from the community.

The show is named after Dyck, who was a long-time automotives teacher at the school.
