The Estevan Police Association has lined up a magical show for the whole family for next month. The 2016 Magic Variety Show will include the talents of several Regina based magicians, including Steve Hamilton, Trevor and Lorena Watters and Richy Roy.聽
鈥淲e鈥檙e really excited that the Estevan Police Association can be part of this. I think it鈥檚 a great opportunity for the city of Estevan to have something like this going on,鈥 said Sgt. Evan Handley with the Estevan Police Service (EPS). 鈥淭hey go around Saskatchewan and do a quick little tour. We鈥檙e lucky to be added to their list this year.鈥
Proceeds from the event will go to support the Estevan Family Resource Centre.
The event will feature a combination of magic tricks, illusions and comedy. Handley said there鈥檒l be some fresh material delivered onstage, and noted he鈥檚 glad it鈥檚 happening, since it鈥檚 not often such an event can be arranged to take place in the city
鈥淚 don鈥檛 think they鈥檒l be chopping boxes in half or something like that. These guys are pros, and are going around the world doing this,鈥 sand Handley. 鈥淚 think it should be exciting fun. It鈥檚 geared toward kids, and is something to make the kids go 鈥極oh鈥 and 鈥榓hh.鈥 I think everyone will have a good time and be entertained.鈥
The show is set to take place at Estevan Comprehensive School on Feb. 4, starting at 6:30 p.m. For more information contact the EPS.
