Tenille Arts wins five awards at SCMA ceremonies

Singer Tenille Arts loaded up on the hardware at the Saskatchewan Country Music Association鈥檚 awards ceremonies on Sunday night in Prince Albert, earning five awards in total.

鈥淲ow! What an amazing night,鈥 she said on her Facebook page after the awards presentation, where she won in all five categories she had been nominated in.

鈥淚鈥檓 so proud of Saskatchewan and our amazing community of country music. It鈥檚 been a great year and it feels amazing to be recognized like this,鈥 she said.

Her awards included Female Artist of the Year, and Album of the Year for 鈥淩ebel Child鈥, her first full-length album.

She was named Songwriter of the Year along with Adam Wheeler and Mark Narmore, for the song 鈥淩ain Drops, Dirt Roads鈥, Single of the Year for 鈥淲hat He鈥檚 Into鈥, and Video of the Year for 鈥淐old Feet鈥, directed by Patrick Tohill.

She received national exposure in the U.S. and Canada as she was recently featured on the ABC-TV series, 鈥淭he Bachelor鈥, and she has been living and working the last couple of years in Nashville, pursuing her dreams in country music.

Most recently, she did a concert at the Happy Nun Caf茅 in Forget, as the featured performer for a fundraiser for Teddy Bears Anonymous.
