Oliver Swain and Glenna Garramone are big fans of Leonard Cohen. It’s evident in the name of the duet, Tower of Song, which is also the name of a popular song written by the famed Canadian musician and songwriter.
Swain and Garramone were at the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum (EAGM) on June 4 to perform through the EAGM’s After Dark concert series. They played some of Cohen’s most recognizable songs for a small, but supportive, crowd that gathered at the EAGM.
Garromone noted they have played about 80 shows across the country under the Tower of Song name. And while most of the selections they played were from their album of Cohen music, In City and In Forest, they also played some of their original music, since they believe a tribute to Cohen would be incomplete if they didn’t play their own songs.
Tower of Song’s appearance was through the After Dark concert series. It was the final concert in the series this season.
