Students at Sacred Heart School were treated to a visit by children鈥檚鈥� author Erin Bow, who read from her book Plain Kate and explained to them the revision process of writing the novel.

Canada 150 was celebrated in song by the Assiniboia Community Choir at its Spring Concert at the Alliance Church in Assiniboia on May 7. This concert was one of the Canada 150 events happening in the community.

It鈥檚 a true story of loss and rediscovery.

The Carlyle Elementary School (CES) presented their rendition of Willy Wonka Kids on Friday, May 12. The play, which is based on the book 鈥淐harlie and the Chocolate Factory,鈥� by Roald Dahl, was this year鈥檚 CES鈥檚 鈥淥ne Book, One School.

It鈥檚 only been a couple of months since the most recent Stars for Saskatchewan concert series came to an end, but the Estevan Arts Council (EAC) has already started to promote the 2017-18 Stars season.

The current exhibit inside the Estevan Art Gallery and Museum鈥檚 (EAGM) Gallery No. 2 chronicles events that led up to the birth of Canada. Dr.

Tickets are available from the school office of the Weyburn Comprehensive School for the upcoming presentation of the musical 鈥淗igh School Musical鈥�. The cost is $15 for adults and $8 for youth occupying a seat.
