Fiddling music in southeast Saskatchewan has been reinvigorated over the years and this has led to an exciting showcase depicting the history of Canada through following the fiddle's journey across the country.

The Poverty Plainsmen, a well-known prairie band, are set to perform April 18 at the Weyburn Curling Rink. The Weyburn Red Wing Alumni are hosting a Winter Meltdown Cabaret, featuring The Plainsmen, as a fundraiser for our hometown hockey team.

The Lampman School drama group competed in Moosomin for the Regional Drama Festival held from March 26-28. Here the students put on two, 15 minute performances, 鈥淐hester Who Painted the World Purple,鈥� and 鈥淒rugs are Bad.

The third annual Art Farm will be held on June 13 from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the van der Breggen acreage. Art Farm III is a gathering of over 35 artists, exhibiting and selling their work.
