City police responded to a hit-and-run collision on the west side of the city on June 27 involving two semi trucks, both suffering significant damage.

The skies over the Weyburn exhibition grounds were lit up with colourful bursts of light as the City of Weyburn held their Canada Day fireworks show late on Monday evening. The show came after thunderstorms rolled through the Weyburn area, including one which carried a warning of possible tornadoes (none were reported officially), wrapping up a busy day of celebrating Canada's birthday.

Eight acts provided lots of entertainment for the hundreds of people in attendance.

Canada Day was celebrated at Nickle Lake Regional Park with several activities, including a bike parade around the park, an open-air market, a show-and-shine and crafts. There will be live music in the evening to close out the day.

Many people turned out to see the wide variety of floats in the parade.
