The Estevan TS&M U13 AA Brewers are eager to play their first game at the upcoming Western Canadian Baseball Championships, which will be held in Estevan from Aug. 18-21.

City council on board with a contribution of $200,000 to Regina’s Brier bid.

The Brewers will be comprised of players from throughout the province. There will be players from Estevan, Lumsden, Radville, Weybur, Unity, Macklin, Kerrobert and Moose Jaw.

Jake Boudreau gets a two-year contract.

Jenna McFadyen and Jonathan Adam Podbielski both won in their respective 3000m steeplechase events.

The Estevan 18U AA Brewers will be the host team for the tournament, which begins with opening ceremonies on Aug. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Lynn Prime Park.

Teams from across Western Canada are coming to Estevan from Aug. 18-21 for the Western Canadian Baseball Championships, and Estevan Minor Baseball is applying the finishing touches to be ready.

ECS Elecs will hold its equipment distribution on Aug. 17 and their first practice is scheduled for Aug. 18 at 4 p.m. at the school’s practice field.

The Iron Pigs will face up against the Regina Dodgers in a best-of-three semi-final series.
