It was time for the Nature Society's final meeting before breaking for summer. The meeting was held at Knox Presbyterian Church on June 20 at 6:00 p.m. It was a pot luck supper, and everyone enjoyed the company.

Lomond 4-H planning Achievement Day

Lomond 4-H held their 4-H Demonstration on June 3 at the Wiesbecks' farm. Riley and Cody-Ray Lafrentz conducted the demonstration. The 4-H members enjoyed it and learned a lot from the two men.

Weyburn's 2012 Clean up Committee concludes meetings

The City of Weyburn 2012 Clean up Committee held its final meeting on June 12 at City Hall. As a result of the Residential Judging that was done on June 1, Area 1 was declared the Best Improved Area winner. Area 5 was runner up.

Police make arrest for arson, no further suspects

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of June 10 to 17: During the reporting period, police responded to 130 calls for service. Police responded to a number of alarm calls and over the weekend they handled a number of noise complaints.
