Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of November 7 to 14: During the reporting period, police dealt with 110 calls for service. Many of the calls were alcohol related and several disturbances and motor vehicle accidents were attended.

On November 10, the Petro Bakken Wings battled the Notre Dame Argos in Notre Dame. Though the boys battled hard they came up one goal short, suffering a fourth straight lose by a score of 4-3.

Highway 1 designated "Saskatchewan's Highway of Heroes"

Highway 1 between Moose Jaw and Regina has been named "Saskatchewan's Highway of Heroes" as a permanent tribute to Canadian Forces personnel from Saskatchewan who have lost their lives in service to our country.

Both volleyball teams were successful this past weekend at SHSAA regional competition and will advance to provincials, the girls in Moose Jaw and the boys in Prince Albert. The girls are the defending provincial champs.
