Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of October 25 to 31: *In the early morning hours of October 31, police attended to several noisy party complaints and disturbances at local bars. No charges were laid in any of these incidences.

November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and on November 8, Weyburn will officially acknowledge this with a proclamation by City Council.

The Canadian Wheat Board (CWB) has awarded the Weyburn Inland Terminal (WIT) its "Grain Handler of the Year" designation for shipping to the US market.

Weyburn's second annual Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes is quickly approaching. The fundraising event will begin at City Centre Mall on Sunday, November 14 with registration at noon and the walk beginning at 1 p.m.

Premier Brad Wall said the Throne Speech, delivered during the fourth session of the 26th Legislature, sets out the provincial government's agenda to keep Saskatchewan moving forward.

The St. Vincent de Paul Council of the Catholic Women's League honoured several of its members, recently, for their many years of service, including two national awards.
