There are 189 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on May 4, bringing the provincial total to 42,006 cases.

There are 207 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on May 3, bringing the provincial total to 41,806 cases. There are two new COVID cases in the Weyburn area, and 59 active cases, with 212 active cases in the southeast region as a whole.

Weyburn RCMP responded to a complaint of a single vehicle rollover seven miles east of Pangman along Highway 13 around 5:30 a.m. on May 1. There was one occupant in the vehicle and he was deceased at the scene. He was a 29-year-old man from Ceylon.

An Estevan RCMP officer was conducting regular patrols on Highway 18 on Saturday, when he located two red cars traveling eastbound near Bienfait. The two vehicles were traveling side by side on the two-lane, divided highway at a high rate of speed.

There are 7 new COVID-19 cases reported in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV East 3 Zone on May 2, which includes the Weyburn and area. According to the daily COVID-19 report from the Saskatchewan Health Authority, there are 67 active COVID-19 cases in the zone currently.

Skydive Â鶹´«Ã½AV Sask, a volunteer non profit skydive club that operates out of Moose Jaw Municipal airport, is temporarily relocating to the Weyburn Airport for May and June, while the Moose Jaw Municipal Airport undergoes expansion.

The Saskatchewan Teachers’ Federation is echoing the concerns of Saskatoon Mayor Charlie Clark and Epidemiologist Dr. Cory Neudorf, both of whom are calling for increased measures in Saskatoon to slow the spread of COVID-19 and save lives.

The Government of Saskatchewan is extending the Saskatchewan Small Business Emergency Payment (SSBEP) program an additional month to support small businesses province-wide during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
