CANORA - With an “Oh, no” double bank or “never even reached reach the hog line,” Canora Keen Age Centre shuffleboard has come to a conclusion for the 2024/25 season.
Winning the gold medal was the team of Charlie Rudachyk and Chase Ryder.
Second place and the silver medal went to the team of Craig Kreklewetz and Robert Martel.
The duo of Bernice Rakochy and Glen Leson won the bronze medal.
The 2025/26 season will get underway on Friday, Nov. 7 and will run for 22-27 weeks, depending on the number of teams.
For anyone who is interested, the cost is $10 for a Keen Age Centre membership and $2 per Friday for coffee.
If not interest in putting together a team, interested individual players are encouraged to get involved as a spare.
“If you’re not sure how to play, there is always someone to willingly help you along,” said Julie Korchinski, a Keen Age member.
On May 25, the Keen Age Centre held a birthday party for January, February and March birthdays. Celebrants were:Julie Korchinski, Polly Ripa, Lorraine Katelnikoff, Joanne Zawislak, Ken MacNaughton, Nettie Okrainetz, Mellvina Dergousoff and Lucille Dergousoff.
The next birthday party, celebrating members born in April, May and June, is scheduled for June 22.
