Two Preeceville Harvard Air Cadets did well at the provincial biathlon competition held at Camp SaskCadet at Round Lake on January 20. Janhia Irelandez and Lezlie Morales each skied to a silver medal in the junior female category.

The Preeceville School has created a lot of excitement within the school and community with the hatching perch eggs and hand raising perch.

Eric Harper took to the stage for the final concert for the Whitehawk Arts Council Stars for Saskatchewan series. Harper performed in Preeceville on February 13.

The Endeavour Open Bonspiel, held February 9 to 12, attracted nine teams. "Curlers enjoyed the challenge of curling on real ice," said Scott Giddings.

Amy McDade will be performing at the Sturgis Mini-Miracle on March 2. 鈥淢cDade is a GX94 Radio Star Search champion,鈥� said Kayla Jelinski, the radio station鈥檚 promotions director.

Preeceville present and past residents are being encouraged to reconnect with their roots during the Canada 150 anniversary.

James Betts will be performing at the Sturgis Mini-Miracle 37 scheduled to be hosted by the Sturgis Kinsmen and Kinettes on March 2.

The Sturgis Composite High School senior boys curling team brought home a silver medal from the district competition held in Yorkton on February 4 and 5. The team has qualified to advance to Regionals in Estevan on March 3 and 4.

The Bob Lebo rink of Preeceville won the first event of the Stenen Annual Open Bonspiel which was held from January 29 to February 5 with 17 teams participating.

The Kelvington 4-H Beef Club held its regular meeting at the Kelvington High School on February 5, said Blake Zagrodney, club reporter. With lots to discuss it was quite a long meeting, Zagrodney said.
