United Church congregations across Canada were invited to ring their church bells 91 times at 10:30 a.m. on June 15 to mark the 91st anniversary of the United Church of Canada.

The St. James Anglican Church congregation of Endeavour held its annual Church Mouse sale at the Endeavour Skating Arena on June 10, 11 and 12. 鈥淭he annual event is very time consuming,鈥� said Kathy Ambrose, one of the co-ordinators for the event.

Preeceville Nursery School students from the four-year-old and three-year-old classes were all acknowledged for their hard work throughout the year during a graduation day on May 31. Lori Newton was the teacher for the school year.

( see photo gallery below ) A piano recital at the Preeceville Trinity United Church on July 5 showcased the talent of the six students instructed by Bonnie Lisitza. Britney Vewchar performed Moonlight on the Water and The Stormy Sea.

The Preeceville Arena board created a fun way to generate funds that will be utilized for up-keep and maintenance of the arena.

The youngest person who predicted the correct snow melt date in the Town of Sturgis Snow Be Gone competition was Avery Masley. The Town of Sturgis sponsored the event. Her chosen date was May 9.

Old Home Week festivities have been organized to run all week prior to the Lions Western Weekend on July 14-16.

The newly developed golf driving range is a great recreation resource that has added to the amenities that the Town of Preeceville has to offer tourists and locals alike. The range is located adjacent to Annie Laurie Lake on the north end of town.

The Preeceville School track-and-field team had 21 athletes who had earned the privilege to advance from pre-districts to the District meet that was hosted in Yorkton last month.
