Our Sons of Norway members rented a van for a five-day trip to the Hostfest in Minot, North Dakota, leaving on Sept. 29. Eight of us stayed at a private home while two lodged with another family.

Author to speak at Meota Library

Next Saturday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. in the Meota Library, there will be a guest speaker. First-time author Eugenie Davidson is from Meadow Lake and she will be doing some reading from her new book Choosing to Bloom.

Plans for catered supper

Bingo was played Sept. 24 with a nice turnout. Joan Smith and Jean Hartman did the calling. Lunch was provided by Lil McMillan. Cabbage was played Monday, Sept. 29 with Lil McMillan hosting and providing lunch.
