When I woke up this morning, the weather channel said it was -42C with the wind chill. The buses were not able to run due to the extreme wind chill.

When is this deep freeze going to end? Enough already, I'd say! It was a little quieter around the village this past week, so there isn't that much that I've heard, to report.

The Battlefords Art Club members are fortunate to rent such a bright, sunny room at the Don Ross Centre. It inspires us to create acrylic, watercolour, drawings and zentangle (meditative doodling).

Hi there! Well here we are into February already. January certainly had its up and downs weather wise, but we should be thankful that we didn't get the bad storms plaguing the eastern part of the country.

Friday is Valentine's Day, Feb. 14. It's a day for sweethearts. The Meota Hobby Band is presenting a Sweetheart Dance Night at the Meota Community Complex Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The tickets are only $10, but you need to get them in advance.
