When I woke up this morning, the weather channel said it was -42C with the wind chill. The buses were not able to run due to the extreme wind chill.

The Battlefords Art Club members are fortunate to rent such a bright, sunny room at the Don Ross Centre. It inspires us to create acrylic, watercolour, drawings and zentangle (meditative doodling).

The temperature Sunday evening was -27 C and it sounds as though there will be no let up in the cold weather for several days. During the cold weather the birds keep themselves busy and their feeders empty quickly.

Friday is Valentine's Day, Feb. 14. It's a day for sweethearts. The Meota Hobby Band is presenting a Sweetheart Dance Night at the Meota Community Complex Friday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The tickets are only $10, but you need to get them in advance.
