Legion Ladies Auxillary No. 142 held a monthly meeting Oct. 2 at the Legion Hall. Plans were made for serving a funeral lunch. When harvest is over, the group will be holding another cribbage/Kaiser tournament. Watch for more details.

Volleyball teams busy with tournaments

The junior girls' volleyball team from Neilburg Composite School hosted an eight-team tournament the weekend of Sept. 29. Neilburg entered two teams into the tournament. Both played very well and improved their game skills.

Senior enjoys rare outing

Dale and Gala McMillan came to visit grandpa and grandma, Milt and Lil McMillan, and brought their great-aunt Mary (McMillan) Lundell to visit also. Mary is a resident in Pine Island Lodge and hasn't been to visit anyone since last July.

Neilburg Composite School held a "muffin morning" the first day of classes, Sept. 4. There are no new teachers or assistants this year, however both Mrs. Perkins and Mrs. Windsor have returned from their respective maternity leaves.

A new 4-H club is being formed and anyone interested in joining is invited to an informal informational meeting Thursday, Oct. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Hafford Seniors' Centre on Main Street.
