Maidstone High School embraced provincial volleyball with matching t-shirts and prairie hospitality Nov. 26 and 27, as senior boys' 3A teams from as far away as Redvers, 718 kilometres away, competed for medals and the glory.

Wilkie moved to the top of the North Saskatchewan River Hockey League standings with two lopsided wins on the weekend. Wilkie now sits at 3-1 after a 12-1 Friday night win against Paradise Hill and a 7-0 victory over Turtleford Saturday.
