Dear Editor I am a 70-year-old man living in Valley View Towers II. I suffer from COPD and have had five heart attacks. My days on this planet are numbered My doctor tells me COVID-19 would be a certain death sentence for me.

Dear Editor I appreciate that my last letter (鈥淓mbarrassing sign,鈥� Regional News-Optimist, Dec. 10) was published. It was written in a hurry and not put together well.

Dear Edit or It is refreshing to see our doctors chiding our posturing politicians and handwringing Chamber of Commerce types with regards to the actions we have taken so far to combat COVID-19.

Buy Local, Buy Real are a couple of slogans you may have noticed if you are looking for a real Christmas tree to grace your home this holiday season. I am a fan of the "real" thing.

Dear Editor The holidays will be different for all of us this year. The flights home will be empty; the tables will be set for far fewer.

Teaching young children that it鈥檚 better to give than to receive is always an important lesson, but especially so at Christmas.

Can you believe there are only two weeks until Christmas? Of course the 25th is the day we celebrate the birth of our saviour. Never make the mistake of believing that His birth in Bethlehem was His beginning.
