Dear Editor School groups, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, Cubs and every other group that has planted trees need to understand the future of your hard earned investment in our future.

Wow, that was fast. I've barely figured out I should be filling 2011 in the blank on my cheques and it is already time to change. A year can bring about many changes in the world, the community and in ourselves.

You would think 10 years notice would be enough time to start making changes. When it comes to health care spending by Canadian governments, that's simply not the case.

I recently had a group discussion around the word courage, and what it means to be courageous. However, I sometimes think we look to the extremes and too far into history to be able to recognize courageous behaviour and actions in our own lives.
