Government funds cattle traceability projects

Agriculture Minister Lyle Stewart has announced $50,000 in funding for the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association (SSGA) from the province's Voluntary Traceability Fund.

Operation Overdrive stops 50 impaired drivers

This month's traffic safety blitz, held over the May long weekend, saw 50 motorists in the province charged with impaired driving, 27 temporary driver's licence suspensions and 28 tickets for having liquor in a vehicle.

DeLaet to kick off Golf Day in Sask.

Warm weather aids seeding

Sixty-four per cent of the 2012 crop has been seeded, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report. The five-year (2007-2011) average for this time of year is approximately 44 per cent seeded.
