Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of May 21 to 27: During the reporting period, police dealt with 108 calls for service. Many of them were alcohol related. Officers were called to several false alarms and disturbances.

Several athletes from schools in southeast Saskatchewan attended the district track meet at the Weyburn Comp on May 23. The top two athletes from each category advanced to the provincial track meet, which was held in Saskatoon on June 1 and 2.

DeLaet cut from Crowne Plaza tourney

Graham DeLaet missed the cut at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. After two rounds, the former Weyburn golfer was four-over-par, missing the cut of three-over par by one shot. DeLaet started the first round with a successful front nine.
