United Way Regina is accepting funding applications for the Emergency Community Support Fund (ECSF).

Saskatchewan has five new confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of May 22, bringing the provincial total to 627. Four of the new cases are in the Far North and one is in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV. Of the 627 reported cases, 99 are considered active.

The Government of Saskatchewan is launching the Accelerated Site Closure Program (ASCP) for the abandonment and reclamation of inactive oil and gas wells and facilities to get Saskatchewan people back to work.

Major highway safety improvement projects are underway on Highway 39 which may cause travel delays.

In a vote held May 19 to 21, Saskatchewan teachers voted 85 per cent in support of a new four-year agreement.

Work is underway on the next phase of the plan to re-open the provincial economy. The target date to begin Phase 3 of Re-Open Saskatchewan is June 8, 2020. Phase 2 of the plan began this week.

The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce announced that the annual Chamber Summer Parade planned for July 2, 2020 will be cancelled. The decision was arrived upon after consultation with the Weyburn City Police and the Government of Saskatchewan.
