The Battlefords Art Club Autumn Show and Sale was held concurrently with the Marigold Market Friday, Oct. 23. Members offered a variety of artwork for sale.

To celebrate Reid-Thompson’s 50th anniversary as a regional library, author Candace Savage was invited in for a reading of her non-fiction work on Oct. 21. Savage says it was an honour to be apart of the celebration.

Writing and reading go hand and hand. And the writers at the Coffee Break Cafe on Oct. 20 agree since all of them talked about their love of libraries before reading their own work.

Kristi Friday wants to bring art and theatre to rural Saskatchewan. Through Dancing Sky Artist in Residence program funded by the Saskatchewan Arts Board, she is doing that in communities such as Watrous, Cudworth, Middle Lake, and Humboldt.

t was a busy afternoon at the library in Meota Oct. 24 when patrons and visitors gathered for cookies and coffee and to visit with librarian Debbie Pearce and some of her support group.

Grace Fellowship Ministries, with John and Donna Ridgewell of Radisson in charge, held a craft show and sale in Radisson Seniors’ Centre, with proceeds from coffee, snacks and Christmas gifts going to the Hearts 4 Children home in the Ukraine.
