The rehearsals are underway for the second mainstage show at the Souris Valley Theatre this summer. Dogbarked will be performed from July 19 to 22, and 25 to 29 at the theatre鈥檚 Frehlick Hall.

Local youth are learning more about live theatre during the Souris Valley Theatre鈥檚 annual summer theatre camps. The first camp, named Act 1, started on July 10 and will continue to July 14.

The next production at the Souris Valley Theatre will study the impact of war on those who served, but also the camaraderie that grew between the soldiers. A Soldier鈥檚 War will be performed at the theatre鈥檚 Frehlick Hall on July 5 and 6.

The Estevan Arts Council (EAC) handed out its yearly round of summer scholarships Monday that will help pay for students to attend camps in various artistic mediums.
