It was a sight for Janice Bernier's eyes. She couldn't believe what she was seeing when she found out that her Western 6/49 ticket won $25,000! Bernier bought her $5 ticket for the December 12th draw at Pharmasave in Lampman.

Over 200 drivers charged during Operation Overdrive

During December's month-long Operation Overdrive traffic safety blitz, law and traffic enforcement officers in Saskatchewan checked more than 8,600 vehicles and issued more than 2,400 tickets.

Office and classes to be moved at Weyburn Comp

Semester 2 for the Weyburn Comprehensive School starts on Friday, Jan. 18, with new classes and many of the teachers moved into the old Weyburn Collegiate (1912) wing so that renovations can begin in the "A" and "B" part of the 1972 wing.

Karen McLellan (VanDeSype), born in Radville on April 30, 1957, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2012 with her family and friends by her side. At the age of 48, Karen was diagnosed with an aggressive disease of Multiple Myeloma.

Ernie Howe Morrice

Ernie Howe Morrice passed away at the age of 74. Ernie was predeceased by his mother and father, Nat and Bella Morrice, sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Steve Lawerence, and his sister-in-law Dorlane Morrice and brother-in-law Jim Day.
