The senior girls' basketball team is off to Moose Jaw and the senior boys to Swift Current for tournaments on Friday. The junior boys are hosting a tournament here in Weyburn.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of January 7 to 13, 2013: During the reporting period, the Weyburn Police Service responded to 91 calls for service.

A workshop entitled, 'Managing Your Mental Health' will be offered Wednesday, January 23 at the Weyburn Community Health Services Building from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

It was a sight for Janice Bernier's eyes. She couldn't believe what she was seeing when she found out that her Western 6/49 ticket won $25,000! Bernier bought her $5 ticket for the December 12th draw at Pharmasave in Lampman.

During December's month-long Operation Overdrive traffic safety blitz, law and traffic enforcement officers in Saskatchewan checked more than 8,600 vehicles and issued more than 2,400 tickets.

Karen McLellan (VanDeSype), born in Radville on April 30, 1957, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2012 with her family and friends by her side. At the age of 48, Karen was diagnosed with an aggressive disease of Multiple Myeloma.

Ernie Howe Morrice passed away at the age of 74. Ernie was predeceased by his mother and father, Nat and Bella Morrice, sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Steve Lawerence, and his sister-in-law Dorlane Morrice and brother-in-law Jim Day.
