Semester 1 final exams which will be held from January 14 to 17. January 18 will be the first day of the second semester. This weekend the senior girls basketball team is in a tournament in North Battleford and the senior boys will be in Moose Jaw.

Lomond 4-H report

Lomond 4-H Beef Club held their regular December meeting at Oungre Park. We discussed and reported on different things. Our steak supper was successful. We decided to have a Family Fun Day at Lake Alma Rink during the Christmas holidays.

The Provincial Junior Curling Championships were held at the Weyburn Club from January 3 to 7. Brady Scharback successfully defended his Provincial Junior Men's title.

Weyburn Police kept busy over holidays

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of Dec. 30, 2012 to Jan. 5, 2013: During the reporting period, police attended to 65 calls for service. *On January 4, police assisted EMS with an intoxicated male in the 100 Block of Sixth Avenue.
